I’m not gonna lie, day 1 homework kicked my butt. I’m really good at some things, but doing research and not getting lost down a thousand rabbit holes is not one of them. So many good offers out there, and so many good ads. I looked at all of them – so much so I took an extra 24 hours to finish the dang homework. LOL.
In the One Funnel Away Challenge day 2 video Russell taught about crafting our offer. One of the assignments is to craft an offer around a product we have here at home. Now, I took that as a chance to sell my kids on the product that one of my clients sent me. I was actually trying to brainstorm how we could get more customers to this clients offer.
I put together a beautiful offer around the product. I included videos teaching more about how the product is made, how to best use the product, a pdf cheatsheet with all-natural products that will complement the product, and I even threw in a physical “something” that they could use with the product.
Now, just to be clear, yep, my kids think I am crazy. They wanted to know why I was selling them this product. They said some to me that were right out of Shark Tank. I’m not super sure they understood their place as buyers for my product, LOL. In fact, it ended with one of them saying to me… “Let me make this simple, I’m out”. Oh well, at least I tried! Also, A++ for Mom for giving them that lesson in entrepreneurship.
I did ask the little guys what would make them say yes. What could I add to the offer that would absolutely make them buy this product. They did have some remarkable feedback – so – that was totally worth it. Kids are smart!
One of the deliverables each day of the challenge is a video (usually about 10 minutes) + assigment from Jim Edwards OFA Copy Hacks. During todays video he walked us through specific offers, and shared what to look for, what is good, and what is really unuseful to us. It’s kinda like a look over the shoulder accept, I’m at home and this is a recording.
Jim shares some fantastic information and insight.
How am I feeling after Day 2? Invigorated. Like I can do this. Super excited to be pressing forward. Also, I am thinking of putting my twins through the challenge. It is super kid friendly (no cussing for the most part).
As we are living in challenging times right now, I don’t ever want my kids to feel stuck. I want them to understand entrepreneurship. They don’t need to grow up and become entrepreneurs, but I’d love it if they did… I want them to understand it.
In today’s session, we also received a little over a 1-hour training with Stephen Larsen on the nitty-gritty of putting together our offer. This training was pure gold! This simple formula is the foundation that will help you craft any offer.
I’m hanging around and soaking up all the knowledge I can from this guy. He’s smart… and he’s genius at creating offers.
That is all for day 2!
